What size should I order?

Four sizes, each with the supplier's own weight band and denim-size equivalent. Between two sizes? Size up.

What does "jacquard" mean on a plain cotton brief?

Jacquard is a weave, not a print — the pattern is built into the fabric on the loom rather than printed onto it. Here it shows as a subtle tonal texture, so the brief reads as a solid color from across the room and as something more up close. Nothing to fade, because nothing was printed.

Will the gusset stay soft after washing?

Yes. The body is a 95% cotton knit in 80-count yarn and the gusset is 100% cotton — fine-gauge cotton gets softer with washing, not rougher, as long as you keep it out of a hot dryer.

How does this compare to a multi-pack cotton brief?

• Multi-pack basics: Cheaper per pair, coarser yarn, and a printed label that scratches.

Is the cotton going to shrink?

Cotton shrinks in proportion to how hot you wash it. Cold hand wash and line dry and there is nothing left to shrink — the supplier allows a 1–2 cm finishing tolerance on the garment, which is normal for a cut-and-sewn knit.

Which color should I start with?

Gray and skin tone are the two that vanish under everything. Bean-paste pink and coral pink are the two that show up on purpose. There is no wrong first pick here.
