What size should I order?

Three sizes, and the supplier publishes a real under-bust chart with the cup-and-band pairs they recommend for each one — here are the pairs they recommend for each size. M = 32C / 34A / 34B, L = 34C / 36A / 36B, XL = 36C / 38A / 38B. Between two sizes? Size up — the back hook has two rows.

Is it really silk?

The supplier's material field is real silk with mulberry silk as the stated fibre, for both the shell and the lining. We are not quoting a percentage here, because the supplier's product attributes state one figure and their detail pages print another — the two do not agree, so we say silk and let you judge the touch.

Is there a wire or boning in this bra?

Neither. wire-free and no boning are both product attributes. The cup is a thin moulded layer cut in a triangle, so the shape comes from the fabric and the cut rather than from anything rigid.

How does this compare to a lace triangle bra?

• Lace triangle bra: Texture you can see through a shirt, and a lace edge that eventually pills.
• This bra: A smooth silk triangle with no boning — it disappears under a fine knit, which is what you want from a vest-style bra.

Will the side spill show?

The supplier lists smoothing the side among its stated functions, and the vest cut carries the panel further up the ribcage than a standard triangle bra. It is a smoother line, not a compressing one.

How do I wash silk without ruining it?

Cold hand wash with a pH-neutral soap, and line dry away from sunlight. Silk loses its lustre from heat and from strong detergent — a colour-safe wool wash is a better choice than anything labelled "delicate". Never wring it.
